Aztec High Motto, Philosophy, Mission and Goals 2014-15

Aztec High School: where the crossroads of academic excellence and opportunity meet.

We believe an education is the single most important foundation in a student’s journey to success. A quality education is the greatest determinate for success of the individual, family, community, country and world.  We also believe that all students can learn, although at different rates and in different ways, to become productive members of society.

Aztec High School will teach students the importance of personal responsibility, accountability, and good citizenship while providing the opportunity to achieve excellence in a rigorous,

relevant and collaborative academic environment.

AHS GOALS for 2014-15

  1. AHS classrooms will focus student learning in the areas of open ended questioning, reading informational text and answering DOK level 2 & 3 questions in all grade levels and content areas.

  2. AHS teaching will involve collaborative lesson planning, common assessment of student learning and differentiation of lesson delivery.
